Two people, two old people, dance with spontaneity, presence and awareness.
Is it possible to recognise a dance in the little things, in the simple gestures and in the micro-facts that often go unnoticed?
Mi Nunn is a video dance with non-professional dancers.
Using quasi-documentary images, I stole fragments of two people's life. I asked them to dance for me according to their instincts.
Through a simple montage I created a portrait that speaks of them as individuals and as a couple, and also as grandparents, my grandparents. It was their presence, their spontaneity, their naivety that moved me the most. And it was through this emotion that I decided to honour them!
